3D Block Modelling of the Sin Quyen IOCG Deposit, North Vietnam

The IOCG Sin Quyen deposit is located in the Red River shear zone of North Vietnam. ore bodies are known as hydrothermal veins and hosted Proterozoic metapelite. A block modelling approach was used to build a 3D model bodies. An analysis carried out on SurferR 11 computer software using archival data recorded from several dozen boreholes distributed within study area, well obtained mineral chemical 50 samples collected recently deposit. generally trend NW-SE direction with an average azimuth 107° dip around 70°. Cu content inhomogeneous. In bed extension direction, exponential correlation concentration recognized 2,500 m, while perpendicular strike, dependence observed at 500 m distance. high-grade mineralisation copper often altitude interval ∼100 ∼150 above sea level (asl). These also rich uranium gold-bearing minerals. total resources Cu, U Ag were estimated amounted 361,000; 12.7 11.87 tonnes respectively. indicates downward some below 300 beneath ground surface.
